Poehlein graduates basic training

FORT JACKSON, S.C. – Private Mark S. Poehlein, of E Company, Third Battalion, 13th Infantry Regiment, recently completed basic Army Reserves combat training at Fort Jackson.
He was in training from May 18 until Aug. 5 with the E-13 second platoon, “Mad Dawgs.”
Poehlein, 17, is a senior and football player at Tell City Junior-Senior High School.
He is a son of Tammy and Tom Sanders and Mark and Debbie Poehlein, all of Tell City. He has one sister, Emily Poehlein, and one brother, Colton Sanders.
His grandparents are Cindy Hall, Carolyn Poehlein and the late Tommy Hall and Glenward Poehlein. Step-grandparents are Jerry and Judy Sanders. Poehlein’s great-grandparents are Edith Morgan, Verlee Poehlein, and the late Verdon Poehlein.
