Plans simmer for annual Tell City chili cook-off

TELL CITY – The Tell City Beautification Committee has set plans for its annual chili cook-off on Main Street in conjunction with the Tell City Christmas parade.

Everyone is asked to cook their best pot of chili and serve it to the public as they stroll Main Street during “Christmas in the Park.” The cost for each chili station is $10, with money going toward expenses for prizes and awards given to participating vendors.

Those who wish to participate will need to provide their own tables, signs, trash can and propane cooking devices. Propane is preferred over electric as most locations will not have access to electricity.

If you wish to use electricity, make prior arrangements with a merchant located on the Main Street parade route.
The Beautification Committee will provide tasting cups, spoons and napkins.

Registration forms are available at the Perry County Convention and Visitors Bureau and will be in future issues of the News.

Completed forms, along with payment, are due by Nov. 29. Checks can be made to the Tell City Beautification Committee.
