BLOOMINGTON—Cathryn Peter set a school record but no Perry County athlete scored in the boys and girls state track meets last weekend.
Peter, a Perry Central senior, finished 23rd among 28 runners as she ran the 3200-meter race in 11:33.10 in the girls state meet Friday.
That broke Rachael Rayford’s previous school record by 12 seconds.
Peter was the only Perry County girl to qualify for state this year.
Perry Central and Tell City each competed in two events in the boys meet Saturday.
