Danielle Peter and Josh Hippen were united in marriage during an early-evening and ocean-side ceremony Friday, April 8, 2011, at Bowditch Regional Park in Fort Myers, Fla.
The bride is the daughter of Danny and Brenda Peter of Derby and Mr. Hippen is the son of Pat and Jodi Griffin of Georgetown.
The bride was given away in marriage by her father in a double-ring ceremony officiated by the Rev. Steven M. Graebner.
Ginger Mullis-Davis of Tell City was chosen as matron of honor and James Payne of Floyds Knobs served as best man.
Beach side acoustic and vocal music was performed by Pete Beard. A sunset toast and reception were held at Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille in Fort Myers.
The bride is a graduate of Perry Central High School and the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree. She is also a graduate of Walden University with a master’s degree in curriculum, assessment and instruction in education. She is a high-school teacher and the head volleyball coach at Hancock County High School.
Mr. Hippen is a graduate of Floyds Knobs High School and Purdue University with an electrical engineering degree. He is employed with Samtec in New Albany as an electrical controls engineer.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Josh Hippen reside in Derby.
