TELL CITY - The Perry County Power of Youth, co-sponsored by the United Way of Perry County and the Perry County Community Foundation, will host their first annual three-on-three co-ed basketball tourney fundraiser.
The event will consist of three age groups, junior high grades sixth through eighth; high-school grades ninth through 12th and an adults group.
The games will be held at William Tell Elementary School starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. Registration is at 9 a.m. Registration forms can be picked up at CVS, Radio Shack, The Perry County News or any Perry County school.
They can be returned to either Radio Shack, any Perry County school or mailed to the Perry County Community Foundation P.O. Box 73, Tell City, IN 47586 by noon Wednesday.
All participants will need to sign a waiver form. Participants under 18 years of age will need to have a parent or guardian sign the form. Forms may be picked up with registration forms.
The cost is $5 per person with a maximum of four people per team. The entry fee is to be paid at the door the day of the event. Any walk-ins are considered late registration and will have to pay a fee of $5 on top of the entry fee.
The public is invited to watch. Gate admission is $2 per person, children 2 and under will get in free. All proceeds will go to the Perry County Power of Youth Council for their youth project.
