Perry County Memorial to offer CPR, first aid classes

TELL CITY – The Heartsaver First Aid and CPR with AED class will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. A skills test is required for the certification class. Class fee is $55 and registration is required by Tuesday.
A Family and Friends CPR class is designed for the layperson wanting to know CPR and choking-rescue skills. No testing is required. This class is not for those requiring certification cards for job or school requirements. Fee for the two-hour class is $10. Registration deadline is the day before your scheduled class.
Classes are from 9 to 11 a.m., Feb. 14; from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 16; 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 22 and from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 29. More classes are scheduled in March. This would be a great two-hour class for a child to learn CPR skills during spring break.
Recommended age is 12 years and up. A 10-11-year-old may sign up with an older sibling, family member or friend to take the class.
A Heartsaver CPR with AED class is scheduled for 5:30 to 9 p.m., Feb. 29. The fee for this certification class is $45. A skills test is required. Registration is required by Feb. 28.
