Perry Central unit celebrates FFA week

LEOPOLD – What is all the talk about FFA? What exactly is FFA? Future Farmers of America is composed of students learning and expanding their knowledge in the agricultural economy and are provided opportunities for leadership development, personal growth and career change. During FFA week – Feb. 18 through Feb. 25 – members are given a chance to educate the public about their organization.
This year to celebrate the week, Perry Central’s FFA chapter hosted a teacher breakfast Feb. 21. They also talked to Perry Central sixth-grade students to educate them about FFA and encourage them to join next year, participate in a dodge-ball competition, drive their tractors to school, hold a truck show and provide a petting zoo for the younger Perry Central students to enjoy.
