RAMSEY—Ryan Hanan drove in three runs as Perry Central beat North Harrison 10-7 in baseball Wednesday.
The Commodores took control of the game with a five-run fifth inning.
T.J. Lamon drove in two of those runs with a double to left-center field and Hanan added a two-run triple over the right fielder’s head that inning.
Lamon and Kessens each drove in two runs for the game. Kessens went 3 for 3 plus a sacrifice fly and Lamon had two hits.
Clint Cassidy pitched the first six innings for the win. He struck out six and walked two.
Perry Central lost its other road game in Harrison County, falling 7-6 to Corydon Thursday.
The Panthers scored the winning run with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning on a single, two walks and another single.
Ian Hahus went 2 for 4 to lead Perry Central’s eight-hit attack. Cassidy drove in two runs with a single to right in the fourth inning.
Perry Central pitchers Andrew Harpenau, Deejay Shaw and Hahus combined to walk five and strike out eight.
Corydon’s pitcher walked three and struck out 10. “He seemed to get the benefit of close pitches,” said Perry Central Coach Gary Hanan.
Still the Commodores “had our opportunities every inning,” the coach added. They left 10 runners on base.
Perry Central, 1-2, will host Tecumseh today at 5 p.m.
