Perry Central mechanic memorialized with wooden bus

LEOPOLD - Another school bus has been added to the 20 parked behind Perry Central Community School, but it has no room for children. It serves a different purpose than the others, memorializing a longtime friend of the school.

Gilbert A. Williams was 78 years old when he died Feb. 4, 2007. He worked nearly 18 years, from the fall of 1974 until he retired in June 1992, as the school's mechanic.
