Perry Central holds off Springs Valley

LEOPOLD—Perry Central played with intensity and defeated Springs Valley 48-43 in Patoka Lake Athletic Conference boys basketball Friday.  

Perry Central Coach Matt Carter said, “This is the best we have played for four quarters.

“We shot over 50 percent from the floor (16 for 30 for 53.3 percent), got 15 steals, and made them turn it over 22 times.”

The Blackhawks hit 19 for 39 from the floor for 48.7 percent.

Perry Central jumped to leads of 11-0 and 15-3 in the first 3:05 using a full-court press to force six turnovers.
