PCHS seniors vying for 2009 homecoming crown Friday

LEOPOLD – The 2009 Perry Central High School football Homecoming will be held Friday. The ceremony will be held at halftime of the Perry Central and West Washington game, which begins at 7 p.m.

Queen Candidates

Kelsie Bland of rural Tell City is the daughter of Melanie Robbins and Dan Zellers. Since being at Perry Central she has been involved in cheerleading, Natural Helpers, pep, key and German clubs, National Honor Society, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Upward Bound and yearbook staff.

In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, traveling and spending time with friends and family members. After graduation, she plans to attend college and to become a speech learning pathologist.

Hilarie Hahus is the daughter of Paul and Julie Hahus of Branchville. Throughout her high-school career Hahus has participated in basketball, softball, volleyball, National Honor Society, student council and Spanish and math clubs. She enjoys bike riding and hanging out with friends and family in her spare time. She plans to attend college after graduation.

Jessica Huber of rural Leopold is the daughter of Tim and Susan Huber. During her high-school career, she has been active in volleyball, track and field, National Honor Society, Key Club and Big Brothers-Big Sisters. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with friends. After graduation, Huber plans to attend Indiana University to major in nursing.

King Candidates

Clint Cassidy of rural Bristow is the son of Brian and Lori Cassidy. During high school, he has participated in baseball, basketball, National Honor Society, student council and Big Brothers-Big Sisters. In his spare time Cassidy enjoys fishing and listening to music. He plans to attend Indiana University after graduation.

Ian Hahus is the son of Paul and Julie Hahus of Branchville. Throughout high school he has been involved in baseball, basketball, National Honor Society and Spanish and math clubs.

He enjoys listening to music and throwing boomerangs in his spare time. Hahus plans to attend college after graduation and major in biology or engineering.

Alex Rogier of Bandon is the son of Kevin and Sue Rogier. During high school he has participated in National Honor Society, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Spanish Club, basketball and track.

In his spare time Rogier enjoys hanging out with friends and family and bass fishing. His future plans after graduation are to attend college.
