PC powers way past Orleans

ORLEANS—Perry Central hit three home runs to beat Orleans 5-3 in baseball Thursday.

Seth Raetz hit a two-run homer in the third inning after a walk to Andrew Harpenau.

Ryan Hanan and T.J. Lamon added solo shots in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively.

Clint Cassidy doubled home the Commodores’ other run in the third inning after Austin Hauser reached base on an error.

Lamon and Ryan Kessens each had two of Perry Central’s eight hits for the game.

Lucas Bryant and Clint Cassidy combined to pitch a four-hitter for Perry Central, with Bryant picking up his first varsity win of the season.

Bryant gave up only two hits and one earned run in 41⁄3 innings, though he walked seven. He struck out three.

Cassidy walked none and struck out three in 22⁄3 innings.

Perry Central turned two double plays to get out of bases-loaded jams.

Perry Central batters struck out only two times in seven innings.

The 10-7 Commodores will visit Tell City today at 5 p.m.
