LEOPOLD - Perry Central made 7 of 9 free throws in the last 3:42 to defeat West Washington 71-64 in PLAC boys basketball Friday.
The Commodores had four starters score in double figures.
Nick Huber made a basket and free throw to put Perry Central up 57-56 with 3:42 left, their first lead since the second quarter.
West Washington's Josh Green then made a three-point play inside to give the Senators their final lead.
On the Commodores next possession Wes Linette was fouled. He made his first free throw and missed his second.
Huber grabbed the rebound and was fouled. He made both shots to put the Commodores up 60-59.
The Commodores ran off the next 11 points as Michael Jarboe had four points to start the run.
"We played sluggish for 3 1/2 quarters tonight," said Perry Central Coach Matt Carter. "Offensively we executed pretty well."
The Commodores committed only four turnovers in the second half and nine for the game. They hit 56.5 percent from the field.
West Washington had eight turnovers and hit 54.3 percent from the field as the teams were evenly matched most of the way.
Linette scored 20 points to lead the Commodores. Huber added 16, Jarboe 13, and Zach Rogier 11.
Junior forward Chase Thompson led West Washington with 18 points and five rebounds.
Jarboe and Huber grabbed six rebounds each to lead Perry Central.
Perry Central improved to 10-6 overall and 3-2 in the PLAC. West Washington fell to 5-10 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
The Commodores will visit Northeast Dubois Thursday at 7 p.m.

Perry Central won the junior varsity 48-32 as Rueben Y. Schwartz scored 16 points.
Alex Rogier added 10 points and Clint Cassidy grabbed five rebounds for the 10-5 Commodores.
