PC goes 1-3 at Evansville

EVANSVILLE—Megan Hedinger made six kills as Perry Central beat Henderson County 25-17, 25-13 in the first match of an eight-team volleyball tourney Saturday.

Perry Central lost its next three matches, though, to finish sixth in the tourney.

Jessica Huber added four kills against Henderson County.

Tessa Lynch had 12 assists and served three aces. Brittany Overstreet served four aces and Hilarie Hahus made six digs.

Olivia Schroeder made six kills in a 25-11, 25-12 loss to Evansville Central.

Jennifer Kemp made six digs that match and Lynch had five assists.

Huber made seven kills, Hedinger five, and Ashley Gengelbach four against Pike Central but Perry Central lost 16-25, 25-17, 15-7.

Hahus made 15 digs that match. Sloan Harpenau added seven digs and five ace serves and Lynch had nine assists.

Huber made nine kills and Hedinger added six in a 26-24, 25-23 loss to Vincennes Lincoln.

Hahus made 19 digs and Lynch had 14 digs and 11 assists

Perry Central beat Paoli in a PLAC home match 25-20, 25-17, 14-25, 25-21 Tuesday as Huber made seven kills, Gengelbach and Hedinger six apiece, and Schroeder five.

Gengelbach also made four blocks. Lynch had 14 assists.

Huber made 22 digs and Hahus added 17. Hedinger made 10 digs and served five aces.

Paoli won the junior varsity match 16-25, 25-21, 25-13.

Alyssa Williams made eight kills and Kayla Carter five for Perry Central. Lauren Davis had 15 assists.

Williams made nine digs, Lynsay Goffinet eight, and Carter and Overstreet seven apiece. Overstreet served four aces.

Perry Central, 8-12 in varsity play and 7-5 in JV, will host Boonville tonight at 6.
