LEOPOLD—Perry Central used a full-court press to jump to a 16-0 lead and crushed Crawford County 68-38 in PLAC girls basketball Thursday.
“We pressed them early and got a few turnovers,” said Perry Central Coach Bill Dickerson.
He said Perry Central was quicker “at every position. When we got after them, it was hard for them to get the ball upcourt.”
The Commodores then switched to a half-court man-to-man defense but still amassed a 37-11 halftime lead.
Brittany Parker and Ashley Graves had the hot hands for the Commodores.
Parker scored 17 points in the first half and finished with 23. She hit 10 of 17 shots from the field.
