LEOPOLD - Perry Central survived a 2 for 24 field-goal shooting start and beat Southridge 36-30 in girls basketball Monday.
The Commodores trailed 14-5 with 18 seconds left in the first half before Alie Schroeder scored on her own rebound for just their third field goal of the game.
They still trailed 26-24 with 4:40 left in the game. Then they started working the ball inside to Schroeder, who began posting up strongly.
She scored two consecutive baskets from the low post to put the Commodores up 28-26 with 3:48 left.
