HUNTINGBURG—Jessica Huber won both hurdles races to lead Perry Central to fourth place in Southridge’s eight-team girls track invitational Thursday.

Huber ran the 100-meter intermediate hurdles in 15.69 seconds to break the meet record and her own school record set two years ago.

She won the 300 low hurdles in 50.26.

Perry Central sophomore Cathryn Peter placed second to Heritage Hills star Cecilia Oxford in the 1600 and 3200 runs.

Katie Schwartz placed second in the shot put to Southridge’s Cassie Wertman, who set a meet record with a 43-foot-7 throw.

Wertman placed sixth in the state last year as a freshman and Thursday’s throw would have placed her third in the state.

Lindsey Gengelbach took second in the high jump at 5 feet, 1 inch.

The Commodores placed third in the 3200 relay.

Team scores: Heritage Hills 119.5, Northeast Dubois 101, Southridge 85.5, Perry Central 74, Princeton 73, Tecumseh 28, South Spencer 27, Wood Memorial 15
