PC girls 4th at Southridge

HUNTINGBURG - Alie Schroeder won the shot put to lead Perry Central to fourth place in the eight-team Southridge invitational girls track meet Thursday.

Southridge won with 167 1/2 points. Perry Central scored 60.

Schroeder won the shot put with a 36-foot-3 throw and teammate Kylee James placed third at 32-61?2.

The Commodores also took two of the top four places in the 3200-meter run. Lavina Schwartz was third in 13:01.0 and Audra Gehlhausen fourth in 13:01.56.

Schwartz placed sixth in the 1600 in 6:02.5.

Arika Kemp placed third in the 100 dash in 13.31 seconds and fifth in the 200 in 28.52.

She set personal records in the trials in both, running the 100 in 13.24 and the 200 in 27.9.

Teammate Brianna Crockett placed sixth in the 200 in 28.63.

Ariel Bland placed third in the pole vault at 6 feet, 6 inches.

Becca Taylor placed fifth in the 100 intermediate hurdles in 17.78 and sixth in the 300 low hurdles in 53.9.

Perry Central's other Becca Taylor took sixth in the discus with an 84-foot-71?2 toss.

Dana Cronin placed fifth in the long jump at 14 feet, 4 inches and Danielle Esarey was sixth at 14-1.

Amanda Allen cleared 4 feet, 10 inches to place sixth in a strong high-jump field.

The Commodores placed third in the 400 relay in 54.72 and fourth in the 3200 relay in 12:54.3.

Perry Central, 18-7, will compete at South Spencer Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
