PC boys, girls PLAC champs

PAOLI - All of Perry Central's scorers placed in the top 10 as the Commodores won the junior high boys and girls PLAC cross country meets Thursday.

The Commodores placed six boys in the top 10 in the boys race.

Paul Schwartz won it in 11:13. Abe Schwartz was second in 11:18 and Alex Newton third in 11:19.

Andrew Huber was sixth in 11:52 and Nathan Schwartz seventh in 11:57 to complete the Commodores' scoring.

Their sixth man, Nathan Bashor, was ninth in 12:16.

The Perry Central boys finished the season undefeated, beating all 101 teams they faced, including those in the state meet.

Marie Schwartz won the girls race in 12:24 and Rosa Schwartz placed second in 12:54.

Verna Schwartz was fourth in 13:35, Brittany Parker fifth in 13:37, and Megan Thomas 10th in 14:15 to complete the Commodores' scoring.

The Commodore girls finished with a 93-8 record.

"I am so proud of all of the kids for their accomplishments," said Perry Central Coach Jane Goffinet. "This has been a phenomenal season for them all."

Boys team scores: Perry Central 19, Orleans 59, Crawford County 64, Mitchell 91, Paoli 118. Springs Valley and West Washington did not participate.

Girls team scores: Perry Central 22, Mitchell 63, Paoli 67, Orleans 71, Crawford County and West Washington no team scores. Springs Valley did not participate.
