PC boys 5th at Bedford

BEDFORD—Aaron Pierrard placed 10th in 16:36 to lead Perry Central to sixth among 27 teams in the Ted Cox Invitational boys cross country meet Saturday.
Other Perry Central scorers were Alex Newton, 15th in 16:41; Bryce Lain, 27th in 17:02; Nathan Schwartz, 63rd in 17:39; and Nathan Bashor, 73rd in 17:49.
Bashor ran his first race since sitting out two weeks with a hip injury.
Tell City finished 12th, led by sophomore Donovan Ingle, who was 52nd in 17:26.
