PC wins Evansville tourney; beats Paoli

EVANSVILLE—Hannah Harpenau made 36 kills and Madeline Hubert made 13 blocks as Perry Central won Evansville Central’s volleyball tourney Saturday.
Perry Central beat Reitz 25-20, 25-14, Bosse 25-27, 25-15, 15-13, Gibson Southern 25-16, 25-13, and Evansville Central 25-23, 25-20 to finish the tourney undefeated.
Harpenau made eight kills and Jordan Sprinkle added seven against Reitz. Grace James had 21 assists.
James and Sprinkle each made five blocks that match and Hubert added four. Brittany Parker made 11 digs, Hubert eight, and Hannah Edwards seven. Sydney Goffinet served six aces.
Harpenau made 14 kills against Bosse. Goffinet added seven and Sprinkle six.
James had 22 assists, 10 digs and three blocks. Hubert made five blocks, Goffinet seven kills and three blocks, and Sprinkle six kills and two blocks. Casey James made eight digs and Parker seven.
Harpenau made eight kills and six digs and Grace James had 22 assists and 13 digs against Gibson Southern.
Parker added 12 digs and Hubert seven. Goffinet and Sprinkle each made seven kills and Goffinet served three aces.
Goffinet made eight kills and Harpenau added six against Evansville Central. Grace James had 18 assists and made nine digs.
Parker also made nine digs and Goffinet served three aces.
Perry Central, ranked No. 7 in the state in Class 2A this week, continued its winning ways with a 25-10, 25-17, 25-14 PLAC home victory over Paoli Tuesday as Harpenau made 12 kills and seven digs and Grace James had 29 assists.
Sprinkle added nine kills, Goffinet seven, Parker five, and Grace James four.
Grace James made three blocks and Hubert and Sprinkle each added two.
Casey James made 10 digs, Hubert eight, and Parker seven. Parker served three aces.
Perry Central improved to 17-3 overall and 3-0 in the conference.
Paoli won the JV match 25-19, 15-25, 15-14.
Ryann Lynch made five kills and had four assists for Perry Central, 1-9.
Brooke Mullis made 12 digs, Amber Neyenhaus seven, and Payton Emmons six. Emmons had five assists and Neyenhaus served six aces.
Perry Central will host Boonville tonight at 6.
