Patterson to be honored on 90th birthday

TELL CITY – Mary Rita Patterson will be honored with a 90th birthday celebration from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Twilight Towers.
The reception will be hosted by her four children, Sam Patterson of Owensboro, Ky., Jody Patterson of Tell City, Vicci Mueller of Memphis and Jo Rita Bishop of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

A lifelong resident of Tell City, Mary Rita served as executive director of the Tell City Housing Authority for 19 years and director of the Perry County Red Cross for 15 years. She is a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and a charter member of Epilson Omega Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa.

Mary Rita belongs to several bridge clubs and enjoys sewing, quilting and watching sports on television.

Mary Rita has six grandchildren, Danielle, Amy, Caty, Casey, Beth and Stephanie. A seventh grandchild, Cody, died in 2007. She has four great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Mary Rita was married to the late Joseph Patterson and is the daughter of the late Roman and Agnes Gaesser.

No formal invitations will be issued. Friends and relatives are invited.
