Patriots edge Tell City boys 89-86

TELL CITY - Tell City swept the top three places in the two longest freestyle races but lost to Heritage Hills 89-86 in boys swimming Thursday.

Tell City freshman Greg Clayton won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:39.55.

Isaac Schaefer placed second in that race in 5:53.36 and Trevor Nelson took third in 6:35.93.

Clayton also won the 200 free in 2:02.99. Schaefer was second in 2:07.59 and Nick Dauby placed third in 2:28.19.

Zach Avallone won the 50 free in 24.90 seconds and placed third in the 100 free in 58.24.
