LEOPOLD—Brittany Parker hit a bases-loaded triple in the fifth inning to drive in all of Perry Central’s runs in a 3-2 softball win over Lanesville Wednesday.
Lanesville, ranked No. 6 in the state in Class A, outhit the Commodores 5-3 and had two triples.
But the Commodores did a better job making theirs count.
In the bottom of the fifth Kosha Wetzel singled, Lexi Aders was hit by a pitch, and with two outs Morgan Richardson was also hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Parker then cleared them with her hit to the fence.
Miranda Claise pitched a complete game for the win. She struck out five and walked one.
Lanesville pitcher Emma Zeller struck out 10 and walked none but hit three batters.
“She’s a pretty decent pitcher, but once we caught up with her we were hitting the ball well,” said Perry Central Coach Mark Rothgerber.
Perry Central, 14-6, will visit Crawford County today at 4:30 p.m.
