Old-time fashion show to feature historical groups

CANNELTON – For Cannelton’s 175th anniversary and annual Heritage Fest, an old-time fashion show will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Covered Wagon following the Miss Heritage Fest pageant.
Men, women and children of all ages are invited to participate in the event by dressing in period clothing from the 1800s to the 1960s.
Categories are best lady, best girl, best man, best boy, oldest participant and who traveled the most distance.
Many members of various historical organizations from across Indiana and Kentucky have signed up to participate in the event. They include the Ohio Valley Sons of the American Revolution, Jonathon Jennings Daughters of 1812, Cyrus Grable and Eli Houston Murray Chapters of the Daughters of the Union, and the Lafayette Spring Daughters of the American Revolution.
Members who hold both state and national positions in their organizations will be among the attendees.
