Town of Troy employee Otis Taylor Jr. uses a backhoe to remove debris Tuesday that the receding Ohio River left across Water Street. Heavy rain last week swelled the river beyond its flood stage for the second time in March. Driftwood, plastic bottles and the occasional tire covered Troy's waterfront while the nearby boat ramp remained under several feet of water. According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the river is expected to fall slowly over the next few days.
