FERDINAND - Forest Park scored several rebound baskets as it jumped to a 22-2 lead and beat Perry Central 58-25 in girls basketball Thursday.
"We started out in a zone defense, and they moved the ball so well," said Perry Central Coach Sarah Spindler. "And they got a lot of second-chance points because we missed a lot of block-outs.
"We switched to man-to-man in the second quarter and we did better."
The Commodores also struggled on offense, though, hitting only 11 of 39 field-goal attempts for 28.2 percent.
