TELL CITY – An Obama for President sign defaced with a racial epithet was quickly removed Sunday but not before an unknown number of motorists saw it.
The large sign was located along Indiana 237, said Dale Groves, chairman of the county’s Democratic Party. He denounced the act of vandalism and called it a possible hate crime.
“Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion when it comes to the president or politics,” he said. “But there’s no excuse for this. It makes all of us look bad.”
