TELL CITY – Award-winning outdoor writer M.R. James, a member of the national Archery Hall of Fame and editor and founder of BowHunter Magazine, will be at the Perry County Public Library-Tell City branch from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
He will share personal hunting and writing stories, as well as offer advice, answer questions and sign copies of his latest book, “Hunting the Dream,” a memoir which takes readers on what he says is an unforgettable storybook journey from his small-town roots to his current role as national spokesman for archers.
James’ book is earning positive reviews for its mix of memorable anecdotes, wry humor, heartfelt sorrow and visual descriptions that enable readers to see each shared adventure.
Much more than a “hunting book,” readers say it contains universal themes of family and friendships, love and loss, work and play and life and death. James lives on his Perry County farm with his wife, Janet, and their dog, Fancy.
