TELL CITY—Two of Tell City’s three seniors scored goals on senior night, but it wasn’t enough as the Marksmen lost to North Posey 7-2 in PAC boys soccer Tuesday.
Matthew Cole and Hunter Sandage scored the Marksmen’s goals.
Tell City scored the first goal just five minutes into the game and trailed only 3-2 at halftime.
“The second half was a much more physical game and we started to wear down,” said Tell City Coach Austin Fischer.
The Marksmen finished the regular season 1-10-2 overall and 1-5 in the PAC.
They will play South Spencer in the first match of the Class A Heritage Hills sectional Monday at 6 p.m.
The winner of that match will face Heritage Hills in the semifinals of the five-team sectional Wednesday at approximately 7 p.m., after Mater Dei takes on Evansville Day at 5 p.m.
The championship game will be played at noon Saturday, Oct. 6.
