Nominations sought for chamber awards

Deadline for submissions is Feb. 28

PERRY COUNTY – The Perry County Chamber of Commerce has announced the call for nominations for the 2014 Chamber Award Dinner.  

Awards are given in four categories:  Large Business – 25 or more full time employees; Small Business– fewer than 25 full- time employees;

Entrepreneurship – someone that has started or is currently running a small business that fills a need in our community; and an Applause Award – a nonprofit or individual that has gone above the norm to do great things for the community.

The award winners will be chosen by an independent panel and will be announced at the 13th Annual Chamber Awards Dinner that will be held in April.

Nominations are due by Feb. 28.

To nominate a business  send the name of the business you are nominating and the reason for the nomination to the address or e-mail listed below along with your contact information or visit the website at www.perrycountychamber.com/pdf.nomination.pdf to complete a nomination form.  

Anyone may nominate a business/organization for the awards.  
Businesses may also self-nominate by submitting application materials directly.  

Information supplied with the nomination will be shared with the Business Award Selection Committee. Announcement of all award winners will be made at the award dinner in April.

Judging criteria for the business awards will be the significance of employment to the community, product/service line, company image, employee development, contribution to the community, ways in which the company may be unique, management and leadership style, business growth and special recognition/awards.
