LEOPOLD - The Perry County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its annual no-till field day and picnic July 22.
Hosts are Randy and Teresa Rennie, whose farm is near Leopold, approximately three miles south of Perry Central High School on Lone Oak road. Watch for bright orange signs
Field-day tours will start at 5:30 p.m. Speakers will be Mike Plumer, University of Illinois extension educator and Jim Kaiser, retired University of Illinois extension specialist. Topics include pasture and livestock management, no-till and conservation tillage and cover crops.
