Newspaper honored again for hard-hitting editorials
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Perry County News brought home five writing awards, including a first-place honor, from Friday's 2008 editorial awards luncheon sponsored by Landmark Community Newspapers Inc.
Winners were announced Friday at the conclusion of LCNI's annual editorial meeting. The Shelbyville, Ky.-based company owns The News and more than 50 other community newspapers.
Managing Editor Kevin Koelling won first place in the category for editorial writing.
