ST. MEINRAD – Lisa L. Castlebury of Eugene, Ore., has been named the new treasurer and business manager at Saint Meinrad Archabbey.
She succeeds Matt Eckert, who left in January to become president and chief executive officer of Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari in Santa Claus.
As treasurer and business manager, Castlebury will be responsible for the financial and business affairs of Saint Meinrad, as well as overseeing human resources and physical facilities.
Most recently, she was vice president for finance and administration for Northwest Christian University in Eugene. In that capacity, she provided management oversight for all key financial and administrative functions.
She also served on the Northwest Christian’s president’s cabinet, strategic-planning and accreditation committees and was the executive liaison to the buildings and grounds, endowment and finance committees of the board of trustees.
Prior to her time at NCU, Castlebury was budget director for the School of Chemistry at the University of California at Berkeley. She also has experience in the manufacturing and banking industries.
A native of Oklahoma, Castlebury was a long-time resident of Evansville, where she earned her bachelor of science and master degrees in business administration from the University of Southern Indiana. She is also a certified public accountant.
She and her husband, Michael Bland, plan to move to Indiana in mid-April.
Saint Meinrad Archabbey, founded in 1854, is a Benedictine monastery that also operates the Seminary and School of Theology, Abbey Press and Abbey Caskets.
