Project's design team appearing at special meeting Feb. 18
TELL CITY - Newly poured sidewalks along four blocks of Tell City's downtown will receive an extra coating of non-skid material in an effort to prevent pedestrian falls, Mayor Barbara Ewing said last week.
The look of the new concrete sidewalks, darker in color than the surrounding walkways and textured to give a hand-troweled look, have drawn compliments but some pedestrians and business owners feel the sidewalks are slippery, especially when wet.
