NEW ALBANY - New Albany won eight consecutive matches in the middle weights and beat Tell City 45-27 in wrestling Thursday.
"Where we're normally pretty strong, they were stronger," said Tell City Coach Joe Litherland. "They've got five kids that are tougher than nails.
"They had five kids who placed in the Mater Dei Classic, so we knew it was going to be a tough match."
The Marksmen also wrestled without several regular starters.
Keith Patrick, their 119-pound starter, is expected to be sidelined another week with a groin injury.
