Music in the Park returns Sunday

TELL CITY — City Hall Park, the hub of Tell City's Schweizer Fest last week, will hum again Sunday as the next Music in the Park concert series returns.

Also back is the Shoot for the Stars singing contest. Nine semi-finalists will perform with four advancing to next month's finals Sept. 20.  Performing Sunday will be Jessica York, Euriah Bryant, Amber Wilbur, Ronald Riley, Kensey Estes, David McKinney, Glenn Cronin, Clint Buechler and Dillon McKinney.

Sunday's music begins at 3 p.m. with Randy Lanham performing.

A professional musician from the Owensboro, Ky. area, Lanham has played music for the past 21 years, professionally for the past 13 years. He is a past Kentucky state fiddle champion who has had the opportunity to play for recording artists Clay Walker, Wade Hayes, Tracy Lawrence, Tanya Tucker and others. While working for those artists he toured with George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson and Faith Hill.

The concert series and singing contest are sponsored by the Tell City Regional Arts Association, city of Tell City and Perry County Community Foundation.

Refreshments will be available Sunday.
