Missed serves costly to Cannelton

REO—Four consecutive missed serves put Cannelton in the hole early in a 25-12, 25-17, 25-17 volleyball loss to South Spencer Tuesday.
“We had a lot of missed serves,” said Cannelton Coach Felicia Myers.
Still the Bulldogs played with the Rebels after their cold start. The second and third games were each tied 17-17 before the Rebels pulled away.
Allicyn Garrett led Cannelton hitters with four kills and Taylor Lawalin made two blocks. Lawalin and Jackie Malone each made 12 sets.
Mikah Hemmings made four digs and Brook Blankenship added three.
Julie Todd made 14 kills for South Spencer and Kara Kraus had 24 assists.
South Spencer improved to 3-13 on the season.
Cannelton, 2-14, will visit South Central tonight at 5:30.
