Miller drives in six runs in one inning

ROCKPORT—Tell City junior Gant Miller drove in six runs in one inning as Rockport trounced Greene County 21-2 in its American Legion baseball season opener Saturday.
Post 254 led only 3-2 before its big inning.
Miller, Rockport’s second baseman, hit a triple and two singles in the sixth as he tied Brad Fella’s team record for most RBIs in an inning.
Miller went 4 for 6 for the game.
Fellow Tell Citians Hunter Rowe and Austin Paulin each drove in two runs for Rockport that game.
Paulin scored three runs.
Tell City senior C.J. Rowe pitched the first seven innings for Rockport in a 5-2 loss to Shelbyville Sunday.
He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks and struck out two.
Fellow Tell Citian Hunter Rowe relieved him in the eighth inning and gave up two runs—one unearned—in one inning. He walked two and struck out one.
Two other Tell City players, Rhett Baumeister and Reed Goffinet, are also on Rockport’s pitching staff.
