TELL CITY– An evening fire in the 1600 block of Tell Street Tuesday injured one man and sent another to jail on drug charges.
Police said a meth lab triggered the blaze in a small camper parked near the home of Eldred Nix at 1630 Tell Street.
Police said Michael W. Faucett suffered burns to his hands and face. A state-fire marshal’s representative was at the scene that night.
Eldrid Nix was later charged with possessing methamphetamine and chemical reagents and maintaining a common nuisance. Charges against Faucett are pending.
