Memorial's defense scuttles Commodores

LEOPOLD - Evansville Memorial stopped Perry Central's spiking attack and beat the Commodores 25-11, 25-7, 25-8 in volleyball Monday.

Jessica Huber led Perry Central in kills with four. Tessa Lynch had five assists and Sloan Harpenau added four.

Hilarie Hahus made eight digs for the Commodores.

Perry Central won the junior varsity match 25-13, 13-25, 15-13 as Brittany Overstreet made 17 digs and served two aces.

Deidra Dickerson also served two aces.

Olivia Schroeder and Kayla Carter each made three kills and Lindsey Gengelbach had five assists.
