Memorial Day: May 26, 2008

TELL CITY - Perry County's Avenue of Flags, honoring Perry Countians who gave their lives in the defense of our nation, will make its second appearance this year Memorial Day at City Hall Park in Tell City. The flags were in Troy for Armed Forces Day earlier this month.

The Avenue of Flags will be displayed from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting, and will travel to other locations in the county this year:

Flag Day, June 14, Leopold Park

Independence Day, July 4, Derby riverfront

Veterans Day, Nov. 11, Perry County Museum in Cannelton.
