Jenny McGhee and Shawn Sutton were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the First Christian Church in Owensboro, Ky.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rex McGhee of Owensboro. Mr. Sutton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Morgan of Tell City.
The bride was given in marriage by her father in the double-ring ceremony officiated by the Rev. David Tucker.
Charlene McGhee of Owensboro, mother of the bride, was chosen as the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amanda Sutton of Tell City, sister of the groom; Keshia Smith of Hawesville, Ky., sister of the groom; Andrea McGhee of Owensboro, Ky., sister-in-law of the bride; Chasity Fulks of Owensboro, aunt of the bride and Jorie Morse of Owensboro.
Bud York of Tell City, great uncle of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Mike Smith of Hawesville, brother-in-law of the groom; Ethan Lamar of Lewisport, Ky., and Jason, Jamie and Jeremy McGhee, all of Owensboro, brothers of the bride.
Jada King and Dakota Smith, nieces of the groom, were flower girls and also distributed favors to guests. Graylon McGhee, son of the bride, was the ring bearer. Lindsey Blair, aunt of the bride, was a reader at the ceremony.
Ushers were Joe Zellers of Madison and Steve Glasgow of Owensboro, uncle of the bride.
A special selection played during the ceremony was “Marry Me.”
A reception was held at the Knights of Columbus building in Owensboro following the wedding. Friends of the bride and groom assisted at the reception.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Sutton honeymooned in Destin, Fla., and will reside in Owensboro.
The bride is a graduate of Majesty Academy and Brescia University in Owensboro. She works at U.S. Bank in Owensboro.
Mr. Sutton is a graduate of Tell City High School and the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. He works at U.S. Bank in Owensboro.
