TROY – Expressing a desire for the town's part-time law-enforcement officer to spend more time enforcing ordinances against junk and tall grass, members of the Troy Town Council voted Wednesday to extend by three months a contract with the man who currently holds the position of marshal.
"I hate to see us go without a marshal. Who will enforce our ordinances?" Councilman Ed Sweeney asked during a discussion of whether J.D. Pyle's six-month contract should be renewed.
