Marksmen's 2-3 zone stops South Spencer

HUNTINGBURG - After falling behind early, Tell City switched to a 2-3 zone defense and beat South Spencer 56-46 in Class 2A boys basketball sectional semifinals Friday.

The Marksmen were scheduled to play Mater Dei, a team they beat 57-49 at Tell City Jan. 15, in the championship game Saturday.

Friday South Spencer built a 10-5 lead against the Marksmen's man-to-man defense in the first five minutes.
