LINCOLN CITY - Tell City's boys basketball players must not have wanted another 7 a.m. practice, as they played strong defense to beat Tecumseh 51-40 for the PSC Classic championship Saturday.
The Marksmen had lost to Tecumseh 77-60 in a regular-season game Dec. 14.
Coach John Hayes was so upset with their play that night, especially their not hustling back on defense, that he called a practice for 7 a.m. the next day.
Saturday he said the main difference between that game and the tourney was, "We defended (tonight).
