Marksmen shut down Patriots in second half

TELL CITY - Strong defense and rebounding carried Tell City past Heritage Hills 65-33 in PAC boys basketball Tuesday.

The Marksmen held Heritage Hills to single-digit scoring in every quarter.

They outshot the Patriots from the field 48.9 percent to 32.5 percent and outrebounded them 31-23, holding the Patriots to just four offensive rebounds.

Still the Marksmen led only 20-15 at halftime, as they got off to a sluggish start on offense themselves.

They hit only 8 of 25 shots from the field in the first half as they rarely got the ball inside.
