Marksmen fall to Vikings, Cougars

TELL CITY - Tell City had 15 hits, including two home runs and three doubles, but lost to North Posey 10-8 in PAC girls softball Monday.

North Posey had only nine hits but also took advantage of six walks and five Tell City errors.

Tell City took a 4-3 lead on Lauren Goffinet's two-run double to the left-field corner in the fourth inning. It followed a double by Paige Gelarden and a walk to Josalyn Ress.

But North Posey regained the lead for good with five runs in the fifth inning on four hits, two errors and two walks.
