TELL CITY - Tell City volleyball coach Dalonda Hayes says her team has strong spiking and can be a sectional contender if inexperienced back-row players come through.
The Marksmen set a school record for most victories in a season last year as they went 24-8.
They graduated leading spiker Dana Sibrel, who made All-PAC, from that team. But they return several players with strong frontline experience.
They include 5-foot-11 senior Lauren Goffinet, who will start at left front, and juniors Elizabeth Kohnert, Brittney Harth, Leslie Poole and Jamie Brinksneader.
