Marksmen defeat Rebels with best round of season

TELL CITY - Tell City shot its best nine-hole round of the season as it beat South Spencer 171-177 in boys golf Tuesday.

That was eight strokes better than the Marksmen's previous best this year and seven strokes better than their best last season.

Ian Reed shot a 4-over-par 39 for medalist honors. He birdied the par-3, No. 3 hole.

Victor Schutzius shot a 41 for his best round of the season.

Other Tell City scorers were Corey Young with a 45 and Logan Bolin 46.

Alex Cole, who shot a 49, and Adam Ramsey, 57, also played for the Marksmen.
